History & methods of
C-concrete

At C-concrete, we combine years of expertise with cutting-edge technology to realize high-quality precast solutions. Our roots are in Temse, but our gaze is fully focused on the future. What started as a local production activity has grown into a modern precast partner with strong machinery, specialized teams and a streamlined working method that makes construction projects faster, more efficient and of higher quality.

From production hall on Eurolaan to prefab pioneer

What once began in a production hall on the Eurolaan in Temse grew into a future-oriented precast player with two modern branches in Temse and Hoeselt. Our history is one of entrepreneurship, craftsmanship and constant innovation.

Three years ago we took an important step: C-concrete became an independent company within the Cordeel Group. Today, this structure gives us the best of both worlds: the clout and stability of a large group and the agility of a specialized team. As a result, we successfully focus not only on internal Cordeel projects, but also on external construction companies, architects and project developers.

For us, precast is not a technique among many others – it is our identity. With advanced technology, passionate employees and a strong focus on sustainability, we not only build concrete elements, but also help shape the future of the construction industry.

Method: from design to on-site assembly

At C-concrete, we guide each project from the initial study to on-site assembly. Our integrated approach ensures reduced failure costs, shorter lead times and reliable quality. We work according to five fixed building blocks.

CConcreteEngineeering&Design

1. Engineering & Design

Our TEKLA modelers and stability engineers take complete control of your file – from the initial estimate at tender to just-in-time delivery. The earlier we are involved, the more we can optimize.

All elements are worked out in 3D and integrated into BIM. From this digital model, production plans are distilled directly, so that design, production and assembly are seamlessly integrated.

2. Work Preparation

In our automated steel department, approximately 18,000 tons of reinforcing steel are cut, bent and assembled into baskets, mats and elements every year. Strict quality controls guarantee the correct dimensional stability and workability.

This reinforcement then goes to our precast department or, if the project calls for it, is delivered directly to the job site.

3. Prefabricated production

With an annual production of some 40,000 m³ of self-compacting concrete (about 20,000 tons of reinforced concrete), we supply every type of precast element: beams, columns, precast walls, full walls, hollow walls, insulated hollow walls, exposed concrete, sandwich panels and terraces.

We can produce elements up to 80 tons and in a variety of colors and strength classes. Our production is done in:

  • Temse – 31,000 m² of production space
  • Hoeselt – more than 10,000 m² of production space
  • Production is CE, KOMO and BENOR certified

This scale allows us to enable extremely short construction times without sacrificing flexibility or quality.

4. Transport

With branches in Temse and Hoeselt, our own trailer fleet, a ship berth along the Scheldt (up to 3,000 tons per ship) and a conveyor belt on the quay in front of the concrete plant (700 tons/hour), we organize transport completely tailored to your schedule.

This allows us to deliver precast walls, pre-stalls and other elements just-in-time, reducing crane hours, waiting times and logistics costs.

Our production process

The wall carousel

C-concrete produces insulated hollow walls, full walls, insulated walls and pre-cast walls entirely in-house. Our advanced wall carousel automates the insulation, formwork and stripping process. Using specialized robots, we produce walls quickly, accurately and consistently; ideal for projects where quality and timing are critical.

Advanced machinery

Our modular machinery supports every step of the production process and guarantees repetitive quality:

  • Mobile cleaning unit and oil supply

  • Plotter for accurate positioning of pouring facilities

  • Robot for placing edge formwork

  • Concrete station with integrated compaction (will be matched to the type of concrete used, including self-compacting concrete where applicable)

  • Tilting stations and drying rooms with lifting platform

  • Smoothing installation for an even concrete finish (smoothing of the landfill side)

  • Netting machine for custom production of reinforcement netting with varying diameters

By combining automation with craftsmanship, we minimize manual errors and speed up lead times.
