Prefabricated solid walls
Solid walls are the solid foundation of many building projects. They offer strength, stability and design flexibility, and are used both structurally and aesthetically. At C-concrete, we produce solid walls with extreme precision, tailored to the technical requirements of each building. Their solid character makes them ideal for load-bearing applications and a perfect substrate for facade finishes. Our production guarantees high flatness and tight finishes, ensuring efficient assembly and further finishing. Thus, we combine robustness with refined execution.
What is a solid wall?
A solid wall is a massive precast concrete wall used as a structural element in buildings. It forms a load-bearing disc that absorbs and distributes forces throughout the structure. Unlike hollow walls, a solid wall consists entirely of concrete, which provides excellent strength and stability.
Solid walls can receive different levels of finishing: once or twice dusted, rolled or getaloucheerd (= flattened) to obtain a nice flatness according to standards. Polished versions are also possible. In addition, solid walls can serve as the inner leaf of a sandwich panel that is composed of inner leaf – insulation – outer leaf.
Thanks to production in controlled conditions, quality is always high and dimensional stability excellent. For transport, the walls are carried on skids instead of trailers, which ensures safe and stable delivery.
Advantages of prefabricated solid walls
Prefabricated solid walls offer project certainty and efficiency. Factory production gives you consistent quality, fewer dependencies on site and a tighter assembly schedule. Just-in-time delivery reduces crane hours and congestion, while flat, uniform surfaces speed completion and reduce unnecessary costs.
Solid walls also support high levels of fire and acoustic performance and provide thermal mass that helps stabilize comfort and energy performance. Integral design with recesses, inserts and anchors minimizes post-correction and speeds up the shell construction phase.
In short: shorter lead time, lower risk and more control over budget and quality.
