Transformation area
Amstel III

Located in Bullewijk, Amsterdam-Zuidoost, The Ensemble is part of the large-scale redevelopment of Amstel III. Consisting of two striking towers of 100 and 120 meters high, the project serves as an architectural anchor point within this rapidly evolving urban district. With a multifunctional mix of living, working and facilities and a total gross floor area of 84,000 m², The Ensemble contributes to the creation of a sustainable and vibrant urban environment.

Loggias without scaffolding

C-concrete was responsible for the production of 80 indoor terraces (loggias), accounting for 59 m³ of precast concrete. After complete assembly of the building, the loggias were mounted against the façade in one stage, completely without the use of scaffolding. This method is consistent with the innovative, scaffold-less construction method used for the entire project, with precast elements arriving on site just-in-time. The precast sandwich walls were produced with C-fast, C-concrete’s modular precast concrete system. The tread of the loggias was already finished anti-slip during production, resulting in a faster, cleaner and safer construction process and a sustainable end result.

Sustainable and multifunctional urban living

With 592 apartments, high-end office space and a vibrant 3,000-square-foot plinth of amenities, The Ensemble is conceived as an inclusive and sustainable urban community. The project is energy-neutral, including thermal energy storage, solar panels and green roofs. The high plinth houses commercial and social functions, while underground space was provided for mobility.

Strong cooperation

The Ensemble is a realization in collaboration with Cordeel Belgium, Cordeel Netherlands, Ensemble Real Estate, Wonam, Van Belle & Medina and CONIX RDBM Architects. A project that perfectly illustrates how precast concrete contributes to future-oriented, urban building
